Abstract

Clathrochelates are complexes in with central metal ion encapsulated in tridimensional macrobicyclic organic ligand. Such complexes possess eight inequivalent positions able for modifications. Previously it’s been reported that functionalized tetraphenyl iron (II) clathrochelates are showing a high toxicity against cancer cells.
